Is a Venezuelan mezzo-soprano. She has studied singing, piano, harmony, music history and analysis of contemporary music among other subjects, at the National Conservatory of Music Juan J. Landaeta, and Music School Lino Gallardo in Caracas, Venezuela.
She carried out her training as a singer in the “Taller Permanente de la Ópera de Caracas”, under Venezuelan teacher Isabel Palacios, where she took classes in subjects such as vocal technique, repertory, languages, acting, styles and interpretations in both chamber music and opera.
She received a diploma in “Complete Opera”, taught in Caracas by the renowned soprano Helena Lazarska, singing principle of the Conservatory of Cracow, Poland.
She also holds a diploma in Advanced Vocal Performance, taught by Vera Rozsa, teacher in the Guildhall School of Music of London.
Later she studied vocal technique lessons with the distinguished soprano Virginia Zeani, in the University of Indiana, USA.
She has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the “Orquesta Sinfónica Municipal” in Caracas, “Orquesta Filarmónica” in Caracas, “Orquesta Sinfónica Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho” in Venezuela, “Orquesta Sinfónica de Cali” in Colombia, “Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional del Ecuador” and “Orquesta Filarmónica del Ecuador”.
She has sung under the direction of the renowned masters such as Carlos Piantini, Rodolfo Saglimbeni, Alfredo Rugeles, José Berghmans, Dimiti Manolov, Álvaro Manzano and Patricio Aizaga.
She has participated in several concerts such as “Magnificat” by J.S. Bach, “Stábat Mater” by Pergolesi, “Ninth Symphony” by Beethoven, “Requiem” by Mozart, “Réquiem” by G. Verdi, “Fourth Symphony” by Mahler, “Pampa” by Lucien Goethals, “Bachianas Brasileras” by H. Villa-Lobos, among others. She also participated in some montages of Opera in Venezuela and in Ecuador, such as “La Traviata” by G. Verdi, “Dido and Aeneas” by H. Purcell, “Cavalleria Rusticana” by P. Mascagni, “Carmen” by G. Bizet, “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”by Rossini, as well as some piano recitals.
She accompanied the “La Orquesta Sinfónica Juevenil del Ecuador” during a tour around Germany, performing works by Wagner in Stuttgart.
In 2003 she took part in a concert in Paris, France (at the UNESCO headquarters), with the “Orquesta Filarmónica del Ecuador”.
In 2004 she played the role of Carmen in a concert, under the direction of the master Alfredo Rugeles, with “La Orquesta Sinfónica Juevenil del Ecuador”.
In 2007 she sang in the “Concierto Gala de Ópera” with guest soloists from Guatemala: Luís Giron May (baritone) and Mario Chang (tenor).
In 2010 she participated in a “Gala Lírica” with guest singers, soprano Carolina Varela, (Ecuador) and baritone Fitzgerald Ramos, (Costa Rica), with the “Orquesta Filarmónica del Ecuador”, under the direction of Venezuelan Alfredo Rugeles. |
